Persons applying for missionary service in Genesis should possess the following attributes: 

• Be a member of the Church of the Nazarene
• Possess a call to minister within a cross-cultural context
• Successful service in the local church
• Be mentally, physically and emotionally healthy
• Possess missions or cross-cultural experience
• Possess leadership experience
• Committed practice of prayer and spiritual disciplines
• Have participated in a Cross Cultural Orientation
• Possess 4 years of university or work experience OR 23 years old
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Participation in theological education opportunities

• Possess the ability to develop interpersonal relationships and carry on spiritual conversation
• Possess a basic knowledge and/or skills related to the development of new ministries and church planting
• Possess understanding about other religions and contexts
• Possess basic abilities in the language of the ministry site
• Possess a local or district ministry license
